Happy New Year! How was your night? Mine was exactly the way it should have been. One DiGiorno pizza, one Big Gulp Diet Coke from 7-Eleven, one Blue Moon and three Red Box movies sums up my night. It was very relaxing. 2012 is going to be something. Our new record is selling well and everyone seems to be excited about it. I can't wait to play some more of the newer songs on the next tours coming up. I've been busy getting this company 5683 Collective up and running. It's a slow process but we're going to be adding more things this year. We hope to add a bracelet on the site in a few weeks. I've also been busy putting up drum lessons on my youtube account. My first lesson was posted a few days ago. My biggest joy is sharing what I've learned along my journey as a drummer and I just want to give back any way I can. To me, it's fun. Home life has been pretty sweet. I recently did some session work with some other artists in a studio in Atlanta and Los Angeles. My goal is to slowly meet more and more people and gain the opportunity to become a session drummer outside of Mayday. The hardest thing about it is that the band is always hard at work on the road which leaves me no time to follow that dream. I just try and do what I can when I have the chance. Also, the girl and I have been trying out new recipes lately. I found that I can eat the same thing every day and I wanted to mix it up for a change. I've never desired shrimp, but we made this orange glazed shrimp the other day that was to die for. So far we've been successful. Four of the five dishes we've made have been really good. Won't lie. One of the dishes was absolutely terrible. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted like vomit. We made enchiladas twice now and it's like heaven. haha. I hope they have these enchiladas in heaven. I bet God has enchiladas every day. Anyways…..I wish you guys the best year yet. We're all getting older. Even me. Take each day a step at a time and know this; no matter how bad it gets, it only gets better. Keep your head up and smile. Life's too short be a whiny butt. ;P
