    Help! Who sings Sleepers Just Don't?

    Okay, so I've been a Mayday Parade fan forever, but every single time I listen to Sleepers Just Don't it doesn't sound like Derek or Jason (who were the main singers at the time the song was produced). But listening closer, it kind of sounds like Alex. Is that who it is? I've tried looking it up everywhere, and still I remain clueless. So please, help me out! Thanks! (:

You're welcome! ^__^ And I finally emailed talenthouse, who answered me back. So now I have to ask my friend, who can draw, to draw up the design. I drew it, but it could definitely look better. lol And yeah, Mayday and TAI... are HUGE inspirations for me in just about every way. So negative things such as these make me sad. =[ But it'll pass. And everything will be just fantawesomful! XD

omg i hope everyone one is "spittin' shizz" (that's good lol i've never heard that before) but yeah if i get a chance to meet up with them at a show before they're big again, that will definitely be on the top of mind to ask. but i couldn't find Jake at the last show :/ oh well, i'll just have to hunt. Or maybe i should ask Alex! haha but yeah i was going to do the t-shirt design contest but i'm not very good with that kinda stuff plus i can't figure that site out. haha but yeah i know what you mean by looking up to them. I definitely do too and their music has pretty much been my savior on more than one occasion. i just hope that nothing negative really is true, because i too would be very sad and disappointed. ): but i'm gonna wait it out, see what happens. thanks though with all your help. i really appreciate it (:

Eh. Maybe Mayday is totally good. ^__^ And everyone else is just "spittin' shizz" ya know? lol No, I don't think they stole either of the songs. I think people are just lame. And it might be possible to ask them at their show. Just be like, "Hey, I was listening to 'Sleepers Just Don't' and was wondering why it didn't sound like any of your other songs?" And even, "So I heard some rumors that you guys stole 'I Swear This Time I Mean It'..." and just let the thought trail off. Jake seems more likely the person to ask about either of those. Contacting them on the internet does seem pointless. =[ I have a question about the shirt design contest and haven't gotten a response from anyone. =/ I, too, love MP a whooole lot. And if everything is true, I will be very sad. ='[ And disappointed. I look up to them a lot.

Ugh. I just wish there was some way we could find out for sure you know? but like contacting them is out of the question, since even Jake (the one who uses all the social networking stuff the most) doesn't even answer comments. And i mean i don't think i could even ask them at a show, at the last one i could barely get "can you sign my shirt" out. and plus i feel that'd be rude just being like "um did you steal these songs?" Geeze, i just wish that bands weren't so corrupt these days, and i mean i really thought that MP was innocent. I'd still like to believe it, but it's really really hard. ): I'm so crushed bc i love them sooo much! damn :/

Yeah. For real. =/ I read somewhere on youtube that they stole "I Swear This Time I Mean It." I don't believe that. I refuse to think Mayday would sweep so low. -_- And I agree about the song not really sounding like them. On the way back from the show we saw, it was a four hour drive and I had on my headphones with Mayday and TAI... playing. And when "Sleepers" came on, I listened closely, and it just didn't sound like them. My sister even agreed. So Idk either. =/

And it's confusing because if you use the link that dancewithamatch posted, Keepsake Summer's profile comes up and in the music player they have "Sleepers Just Don't Know" (yeah, it's titled a bit differently). And then on the site you referred to, there is speculation that Mayday stole it. I mean if Mayday originally produced the song, why would the "new" Keepsake Summer have it on their profile? And it sounds exactly the same, plus sounds like the two other songs posted by Keepsake Summer's profile. Idk I just hope your right about it being Mayday's song and there being an effect on Jason's voice. Because i think i'd be truly heartbroken if Mayday stole the song. But it just does not sound like them at all, and idk, i can't see there being that great of an effect making Jason's voice that high and soft you know? :/

I searched who the original members for Keepsake Summer were and found out that [supposedly] Jason, Jake, and Alex were in the band Kid Named Chicago and Derek, Jeremy, and Brooks were in a band called Defining Moment. When they all got together, Jason had named them Keepsake Summer to enter "When I Get Home, You're So Dead," into some contest. Then the band as a whole decided on Mayday Parade as their name. I'M thinking that Jason sings the song, but he used some effect on his voice because the original version of "When I Get Home" uses an effect, too. Another person said that Jason let some other band use the name Keepsake Summer after they had decided on Mayday Parade, so that caused some confusion, I guess. All of this could be totally wrong, but it's what I found. Sorry if that was like totally pointless. >_
