Mayday Parade Discussion

sure i really dislike people who listen to one song of a band and then believe they love them and know everything about them, but I would love for mayday parade being my #1 favorite band to get some radio time so they can expand. Not everyone is like the people you are talking about..If i hear a song I really like from a band I look them up online and see more of their music, if I like them i keep listening.

I totally agree. Everyone's like "I love them so much" Like, no, you don't. You know one song. I am absolutely the biggest Mayday freak there is. Like nobody understands how much they mean to me. I can honestly say that Mayday Parade has saved my life once or twice. I breathe their music. It bothers me so much when people are like "Oh my God, they're my favorite band." But, I'm happy that Mayday Parade got on the radio, somewhat, because like xXOhMyLittlelovelyXx said; they're moving up in the world. They're becoming big, which is good for the band, but not so good for some of their biggest fans. I love you Derek Michael Sanders.

I feel like that means they are moving up in the world, it's huge for a band to get on the radio. And tell me how they were ruined? Those two bands are bigger than ever!

O yeah, why would you want your "favorite band" to get even more recognition and become more popular, making it easier on them to continue doing it as a living...That's horrible...People like you are so stupid...Getting on the radio is huge for bands in a dying scene (no pun intended) like Mayday's

Well by putting their music on the radio you entroduce the band to the people. If they like the song, most likely they will look it up. And if they look it up they will find other songs and end up either loving or hating the band and by then they will prooobably understand the band much more. Not everyone likes to search for new bands on iTunes or Youtube so the radio is just another way for the band to get discovered. I feel wierd for typing so much haha(:

The new music being put on the radio is a rip off to Jason. Because the songs he was in were better, and they were never put on the radio.

Well, i live in australia, and like, nobody knows about them. Theres a really small fan base here so thank God they're not on the rado. Call me damn selfish but i DO NOT want to let those posers hear their music and rave about how they're HUGE FANS , but im preetty bummed out that their playing in American radio.

i totally agree. I llove Mayday Parade.. especially their old music. whats on the radio now is more their new stuff without Jason. and I feel like people arent really experiencing Mayday Parade at their fullest anyways. I mean their songs r still amazing, but they just hear their new stuff whereas their old music was soo good 2 and i felt like their songs had alot more emotion in them.. i mean just look at the difference in the way they named their songs after Jason. The new stuffs definitley still good music.. but thats all most of those mayday parade 'bandwagoners' will prolly hear and thats why they will love them. when the reality is they really know nothing about the band or their music.
