Cut a verse from the song?

Okay so I just don't understand one thing. In the song, "Jamie All Over" Mayday Parade cut a verse. The verse they cut was 

You wore the red shirt that I love
I sang the song that I wrote you
We laughed our way down the beaches
As we dance around the issue

If anyone knows why they did this can you please fill me in?

I actually like this part of the song and when I heard them sing it without this verse it made it sound a little rushed at that part. idk maybe its just because i got use to that verse being there.

    @Stephii also you should know that the bands are totally cool again. They even performed Miserable at Best in 2008 (yes, after Jason was "dropped/kicked out of the band") Jason did leave on his own terms. Hmm if you really did meet him, you should know this.

    @Stephii If your boyfriend is friends with Jason, then your boyfriend should know that he wasn't kicked out lol He left on his own terms, and they didn't change any of lyrics except for this song. The band doesn't hate Jason, it was his choice to leave. Jason made every song in their CD A Lesson in Romantics. They kept all his other songs the same so why change JUST Jamie All Over?

    also if you listen to the 2 versions together, they replaced the line with back up vocals. because mayday had 2 singers, they had to cut some lines to get the layered effect :)

    I like it too. But when that song was written and released Jason was still in the band.Well he wrote most of there songs in there first 2 albums. Well when Jason dropped/kicked out of the band...they cut alot of things.bc they arent on speaking terms or anything and they dont want Jason to be part of any of the band in anyway.Yea,it sucks.And I know alll of this bc my ex boyfirend is actually firends with Jason and we met and I asked and he told me.(:

    I really liked that verse too. I remember hearing it on there myspace for quite awhile and then i heard it on the album and video while i was singing and felt completely stupid when they kept going and i sang that verse lol.

    Thanks. I assumed they cut it after taking it from Kid Named Chicago (well after Jason left the band to form Mayday Parade), but I wasn't sure. Honestly I think it sounds better with the verse. lol

    Jamie All Over is from Jason Lancaster's old band Kid Named Chicago, and as far as I know, that's the only time that verse has been used. I assume they cut that part for Mayday Parade because either the producers or the band thought it would be better that way.
