Mayday Parade Discussion

My parents don't really care about what music im listening to unless, it's super loud. But my sister is really into rap music, and likes Lil Wayne and all those other losers (: and my mom really hates it, mainly because she thinks all they sing about is drugs and sex. And whenever I have Paramore on or something rock-ish, my sister will be like "stop listening to that white trash". She thinks she's black...it's kinda funny.

i totally agree. i was listening to mayday parade, and tokio hotel, and my mom said to TURN IT OFF!!! how can these people hate totally awesome bands?? god, it is soo anoying!!!!!!!! no 1 likes listining to MP, and Tokio Hotel!!! duh, there awesome!!!

So I live in Mississippi and EVERYONE here is EXACTLY the same!!! Everyone listens to country and whatever new pop song is out and Im like the only one who listens to music like Mayday Parade and things like that! No one here likes change either so they won't listen to my stuff. My parents hate stuff with a bunch of guitars and drums and stuff because they say it gives them a headache although the crap they listen to gives me a headache too! So I dunno its frustrating because more then half of everyone here is exactly the same but those that do listen to the stuff i listen to always seem to love it! :)

my parents ABSOLUTELY HATE my brother's music, but we practically listen to the same music, except he sometimes listen to heavy metal and scremo and i don't, and my parents love mine! xD like i was listening to angels on the moon by thriving ivory and i asked my mom if she liked it an she was all "yeah i actually like this quite a lot" an i just started laughing....and then the other day i was blasting we the kings and my dad just asked "who are you listening to?" and i said we the kings and he replied, "hmmm....i like them....they're good...." and once again, i laughed xD

My sister is 20 and its as if all the fun has been sucked out of her. i mean seriously. i'll have my music on anywhere and she'll go nuts and want to turn it off. it doesn't matter what type of music it is anymore she just like hates it all.

Well, sucks to be you, cuz my parents are the best! They listen to all the same music i do (except the screamo) and i love all the oldies like the beatles that they love! perfect harmoney!!! ;-)

I'd tell my parents to shove it if they didn't like Mayday Parade. I don't think anyone would dare say that they didn't like Mayday Parade around me. Lol, I'm die-hard. :) I'm getting my next tattoo of the red umbrella on my shoulder. and its going to say "Mayday Parade" in cursive above it. im so excited.

awww that not cool, my parents don't mind Mayday Parade, they both love the song Jersey, but they heard You Be the Anchor and my dad said it was boring and my mum just didn't like it! How can they be so weird, that's an amazing song, its made me cry before and they don't even like it, what's that all about!!??!! :(

I have the SAME problem but my dads more cool with it then my mom. She just wants me to be a little angel and be "normal." What's not normal about mayday?!? I mean really they're like the less odd band I listen to! Gawd they piss me off...well she pisses me off.

LUCKY. I'll be listening to one of my favorite songs and she'll make me turn it off >:(
