What's Your Favorite Mayday Parade Song, and Why?

(20090928T050024Z )

We all know that all of Mayday Parades songs are amazing, but what is your personal favorite, and if you have a reason behind it tell your story. I'm sure everyone would love to know that we all have feelings behind our music.

For example.. Personally my favorite song by Mayday Parade is "One man drinking games"..I love this song the most because it was the only song I wanted to hear after I the girl I loved told me that she was in love with someone else, and it reminded me of how i had planned out so many things I wanted to do with her, thats life  tho.

So whats yours, and why? :)

MAYDAY PARADE FTW!!

With or without Jason, Mayday is still a great band. Jason wasn't the only one in the group, songs from the old albums had Derek singing as well, so it's not just about Jason. I'm still a big fan without Jason in it, but I also love Go Radio. Jason sings in Maydays newer stuff sometimes. They kind of let things go and are kind of friends again, I'm pretty sure.

Notice how all the songs that you all love were from Tales Told by Dead Friends and A Lesson in Romantics?! Yah, you should all thank Jason Lancaster for that.. I think it's sick that this band would continue to try and sing fan favorites wrote by Lancaster (which he did not get proper credit for) about his ex wife.. Wake up people, Mayday lost what made them great. Do yourself a favor, listen to Go Radio.. You can then hear Jason Lancaster sing the songs HE actually wrote. Some people have a little honor, wonder what the members of Mayday would think if Go Radio sang a few songs of 'theirs'.. HA.

My favorite would have to be Jersey because it really relates to how I felt when me and my boyfriend of six years broke up because he cheated on me. Mayday Parades music in general helped me get through it.

My favorite would be So Far Away, the reason is because it is very relate able to a high schooler. also because it's a bonus track and not many people know about it.

Honestly, my FAVORITE Mayday song is Miserable at Best. Even though it's old, it's still my favorite because it has helped me through alot.

I have three ultimate favourites, but I love them all.

    1. Walk on Water or Drown.
This song is the one that genuinely saved my life. I went through a dark time not too long ago, and my friend knew what I was about to do. Her knowing me so well sent me a link to this song and told me to listen to it before I did anything stupid. It kind of just reeled me in, and made me realize that there actually would be people who'd miss me if I'd left.

    2. One-Man Drinking Games
The song actually has multiple meanings to me. One is the same as you: everything was going good in a relationship and then it all turned to dust for someone else. The second meaning is near the bridge where "Keep breathing, my angel. May I say I loved you more?" comes in. It reminds me of my late grandfather, who claimed me to be his little angel. He always told me to keep going strong, which in essence is to keep breathing.

and finally, "I'd Hate to be You When People Find Out what This Song is About" purely for the fact it was the very, very first song I'd ever heard from Mayday Parade and made me fall in love with them in the first place.

one man drinking game because the beat and guitar is great and the words are seriously my life. my ex boyfriend and i had just gone through this. and he was the one who introduced me to mayday parade forever ago. now we don't talk and we areboth heartbroken by the goodbye. but we" keep breathing" . "let's drink the memories we shared". the memories that last a life time in my heart. i was so afraid he awould be gone and now he is. the song is exavtly my feelings. BUT

i also am in absolute love with you be the anchor... it was the 2nd mayday song i ever heard and fell for it. i can listen to it on repeat all day. the words in the song inspire me and are just so so so true. and when i listen to it, i stop and the lyrics run through my head,

for me would have to be terrible things because it is soo sad but it came out to be something beautiful.I love the piano in the song and reminds me that the ones you love could go in a blink of an eye.But I personally love all of there songs 'cause each song has it's own meaning for me and helps me through life....i

You Be The Anchor...It's just perfect in every way.
But every song reminds me of something, someone..and they get me through everything. Can't thank the boys enough for that, seriously BIG LOVE FOR MAYDAY PARADE.
I love it here because we all think the saaaaaaaaaamex

one man drinking games, because it's quite relevant to me.. in a way, i guess it depends on how you look at the song, but it's pretty personal to me. also, it's an all round beautiful song.. it has so much power to it.. in a way that's unexplainable.

You be the anchor... for short.
I love it because Derek and Jason's voices work together so amazingly to perfect the melody. It sounds so intense in the calmest way. It also isnt putting the meaning behind it right out there. it makes you think about the lyrics. I also like how it flows from quiet to loud, without being to drastic of a transfer. You really can get lost in this song. It wins on so many levels.

mayday's songs are all sooo amazing it's hard to tell which one is the best, and every one has it special meaning and yeah, they're just wonderful :D, Mayday Parade is one of the few bands i can listen all time i really love EVERY single song they wrote !
my personal favourite is "when i get home, you're so dead" 'cause i love the melody and the lyrics are just amazing, i always have to think of my ex- best friend, 'cause i really made him cry and it makes me very sad but it also cheers me always up because i just love the melody, the song is somewhat strong and full of power
