Mayday Parade Discussion

i was.. i thought i knew them by their songs, but i realised that i dont know shit about them.. so i cant expect them to be all cutie and perfect as i thought.. they r just a band, band guys do this stuff (ive heard) and they just wanted to show the fans 'ART' as they said, that for me its porn. Doesnt matter, i still need their songs to live and i still apreciate them as a band.

The first time I saw it I was shocked and was like whoa! I think that they took a risk and I like that. They wanted to be different than all the other bands out there making music videos. Some people got upset but I thought it was great. It wasn't boring but it wasn't great for kids to see either... but they changed it and edited it so it's all over... I still love you Mayday Parade ♥ with all my heart

i duunno if i like it or not. Like, i havn't lost any respect, because they are still a great band, and that videois just kinda realiting to the song... you know, 'summer trips' and all, cause thats how young love is enjoyed, if you know what i mean.
But then again, it is a bit too trashy, and they need to rememebr the've got a young fan base....
well, whatver, i still love em xD

i personally love the video. i have been a fan of mayday for years now and was BEYOND shocked when i first seen it. but i think its so perfect. i think everyone can relate to this video. you just have to look past the hardcore things like all the sex drinking and drugs. this video shows what its like to be so carefree and in love and happy that nothing else matters and it shows how it all can go wrong in an instant. PLUS, all the drugs and drinking ARE how a lot of people are, not everyone but a lot. regardless if you live like that or not i think this video is relate able to a lot of people. yes a lot of mayday fans are younger but keep in mind the video has a warning. i love it and think its perfect for the song.

I understand the need to do something different. And I think that it is great that a band takes chances. That being said, several of their fans are younger... maybe they didn't need to see this... maybe they already have. I don't know. I think that what I am trying to say is that as a society, children are doing things at such a young age. This video may influence that. Maybe not, maybe fans are more intelligent than that. As well, this section of the website is labeled "disscussions", if fans are not allowed to express an opinion because someone else may not agree with it, then I guess I missed the "rules" page.

Actually, this may not be how kids are in love everywhere, but a lot more kids do things like that than you think. Some people live like that, and i think that it's cool that they were brave enough to portray how they might think about this topic. People may not agree with that, but thats how music and life in general is.

after seeing this video my love of the band grew!
the band members were confident and bold enough to go against the current and release such a controversial video, and i say props to them. the video got people to see a different perspective on relationships, and provoked both positive and negative responses. that what music is. it is supposed to make people think and feel emotions and that is definitely what this video did.

If you don't have anything nice to say get off the website. You still have to support them if their your favorite band. You can't say that their your favorite and say that you lost respect. True fans will support them even if they don't agree with what they do.

I don't looooooooooooooooooooooove the video but I guess if thats what they had in mind when they wrote the song that's fine.... I guess it shows the meaning but it is a bit... pervy. But the song makes up 4 it
